Mezco Toyz, the “koolectible toy company” announces it has acquired the rights to the Paramount cult movie classic “The Warriors”
New York City, New York — Mezco Toyz, the “koolectible toy company” announces it has acquired the rights to the Paramount cult movie classic “The Warriors”. In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the movie, some very exciting things are happening with this license. Mezco Toyz will create a five-figure assortment of some very cool action figures, these figures rock dead-on likeness, plenty of “attitude articulation” and tons of accessories. The figures will be packaged in a stylish and collector friendly clamshell package that can be J hooked or shelf displayed. Famed video game developer, Rock Star Games, will be releasing a hot new video game based on the same property. Both the figures and video game are slated for release in Spring 2005.

Im 35 use to live in Irving Pk/North Center Neighborhood. I remember watching The Warriors at about 79'(a 9 yr old). Back then DAVIS THEATHER on Lincoln Ave. I loved the movie. I would love to see a game come out. After all Rap Artist Spoop Doog is involved with a boyz~n~hood theme game by John Singleton...I believe gamw will be called: Fear & Respect. Keep in mind somtimes titles change for various reasons. There is not alot of info n this game, but if interested just goto your favorite search engine and enter the title of the game: fear and respect

I remember a guy named Roy Perry. Anyone know what ever became of him? The last time I saw him was around 82-83. He hung out at leavitte & irving park near John Coonley school. I was friend of his younger counsin around that time.
I went into the the 7-11 at waveland and western around 84-85 and a whole bunch of Royals came in. one or two walked towards me after i got my slurpee. They bragged about how they got into a rumble with some gang at Bell Schooll Yard, they said they busted them apart. Some of them had blood on themselves, but to this day 5-19-05 i still do not belive they won that battle. I dont know who they fought against. Maybe it was the Gaylords or the Duces from Belmont and Western.
2ND. Question What gang runs the Bell School yard now
Growing up in Northcenter during 74-94 I remember it being it an Italian run Neighborhood. around Belle Plaine& Lincoln Ave. I think Frank and older brother Nick ran things. Frank was definetly a person who saw what was happing to the neighborhood. I dont know if he was a Gaylord....but he sure was a badass, growing up i was afraid of him, but of corse high school changes atttudes. I still see him as a defender to make the neighborhood proud!
Can you believe they hired 70 gang intervention guys to stop the gangs from fighting.What they did was hired all ex gang bangers to help intervene before someone gets hurt..This is ran by a doctor in logan square.Since no one is interested in working with the Gaylords I decided to join them in doing intervention work.Is that tricking if you work with the police and clergy to stop gang violence.
