i got a question whys that filmaker using a small ass amateour camera for his documentary shouldnt a serious filmaker use something bigger or have a crew

Hi I am from sunnyside and magnolia from the early 70's through the 90's my mother ran the big building for 25 years which was a big hang out for Gaylords and I would like to share some of those memories. One of the guys posted was my best friend growing up .
I'd like invite. Was never in gang but knew several back in day (late 60's). Hung at OLG w/a football team that played at Koz in early 70's. Can drop couple names w/LAGL's privately, if requested. I WANT TO JOIN EMAIL ME THE INFO.
It was a time of survival,poor white families struggling to make it day by day,and their neighboorhood they needed to defend.The Gaylords were tuff,and they knew it,they fought for what they beleived in,some even died. Though the uptown area was taken over by other gangs forcing most the white families,and the gaylords out,I think something even bigger destroyed the SM gaylords,and that was drugs.Many became addicted,and turned their backs on each other, because of the drugs,and thats sad.When i think back to the days, when the Gaylords ruled the streets of uptown, it brings back alot of memories,some good some bad,and those memories will forever stay with me,because it was part of me, and will always be.

I was born and raised on the northside uptown area, and had an uncle and cousins in the Gaylords. My cousin was killed by a rival gang several years ago. I think the gaylord site is well done.

I was born and raised in uptown, had brothers in this gang. I do remember how safe it was to walk down the streets of magnolia and watch my brothers and friends watch over me and my sister., i do so appreciate that in my life thanks...
