Thank you Rocker for posting the picture of the Church that I read about in your Wonderful Autobiography. Our Lady of Grace has a 95 year history. I went on its website : www.olgchicago.org.I read the history of the Church, they even have their own blog, but no one got it started yet. i would love to have read some comments from former student who attended during the 60s 70's & 80's. Keep up the great work on your web site. I hope you write another book someday.

For the guys from LAGLN: the history of this church is must read.
i took a nostalgic ride down ridgeway over the weekend jsut to see how much the neighborhoods changed and I was somewhat shocked and dissapointed. I was dissapointed to see there were a bunch of flakes hanging right on the old mc dermotts porch how infuriating I mean there are how many houses on the block and they have to hang on that one porch that so many of us hung on for years.Oh well but it still piseed me off even though there hanst been a GL over there in over 10 years. i cant beleive how many yuppies have moved into the nieghborhood its like the early beginings of lincoln park or something. Well those are my two cents i just thought i would share
