Ziggy's Hot Dogs

Ziggy's Hot Dogs Logan Square Chicago ILL.

The "Z" in the name of this little store stands for Ziggy. I used to come here when I got that french fry craving. For a buck you could get a HUGE sack of shoe string fries. H & Z is pretty much a convenient store and to the right is a counter which an older and sometimes crazy man named Ziggy hangs out behind and mans the grill and deep fryer to make hot dogs, burgers and french fries.

I lived across the street from Ziggy for a couple of years. When I'd BBQ, to pretend I owned a deep fryer to serve french fries with my hand-packed 1/2lb. burger, I would get fries from Ziggy to go with my burger. Yum!

I haven't seen Ziggy in a few years, but I rememeber there being a few video games in the back I would play while eating my fries. I know, sounds greasy/gross. I would use one hand to stuff fries in my mouth and the other to navigate the Pacman. Then I'd get a 2nd order to go.

ZIGGY DIDN'T PLAY GUITAR !!!!!
