BIRTHDAY. WE WERE ALL HANGING OUT BELOW THE STRIP AT ONE OF THE BASEBALL DIAMONDS, THERE WERE G/L's FROM FOUR OTHER BRANCHES WHICH OUT OF RESPECT I WILL NOT IDENTIFY, AND ABOUT 35-40 OF US FROM S-Ast. WHEN IN THE
DISTANCE WE HEARD GERONIMO YELLING OUT "THE BRAZERS" SO WE ALL STARTED UP THE LITTLE HILL TO THE STRIP WHERE WE SEEN ABOUT 15 DUDES CHASING
GERONIMO AND HIS LADY. GERONIMO WAS LAUGHING SAYING, LOOK AT THESE
STUPID MOTHER F__KERS! THEY SEEN ALL OF US COME OVER THE HILL ON TO THE STRIP AND THESE SO-CALLED BRAZERS SH_T IN THEIR PANTS WHEN THEY SEEN 70 BLOOD THIRSY GAYLORDS GOING FULL FORCE TOWARDS THEM. THESE DUDES
DROPPED THEIR STICKS,BATS,BOTTLES AND WHAT EVER ELSE THEY WERE USING FOR WEAPONS AND RAN LIKE HELL IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION. WE ONLY CAUGHT ONE DUDE BUT ONE WAS BETTER THEN NONE. AND IT TURNED OUT THAT THESE DUDES WERE BROADWAY-WINONA LATIN-KINGS FALSE FLAGGING AS BRAZERS.

I loved them days and nights we would march from McPherson school to Winnemac park or vice versa chanting, "WHO ARE WE, MIGHTY MIGHTY GAYLORDS" man, you could hear us coming from blocks away. The cool thing about it was McPherson
school was just on the south side of Lawrence in the 19th police district and innemac
park was north of Lawrence in the 20th district, so when it got hot with the cops
at one hangout we would cross Lawrence and go to the other hangout. Anyone who remembers them S-A days speak out and let it be known. S-Ast. would like to

1993 was a pivitol year for the GLN. There wasnt another gang in the city that
could over power us, like the drugs did. I just want to thank all of the Gaylords that
looked out for me...J.W.'s little bro. You're site may compete, but the GL's will take your street!!

I was a member of Reinberg School from 1970-75. I remember We were all at the
McDonald's on Central just south of Manor Bowl. It was the day after Christmas and we were all in a good mood talking about the holiday and hitting on the girls. Woody and Harpo left together. The next morning Monster called to tell me what happened. The dicks all thought the one of us hit him. They wouldn't believe that the k-town punks did it. Great site!

message: Very good site. I was an Insane Pope from Lawrence and Washtenaw from 1986- 1989 then from Cental Park and Ardmore from 1989 - 1992. I never really got into it with Gaylords although older Popes couldn't stand them (you know killing Larkin).
Anyways, good historical info.

MONTICELLO AND AUGUSTA WAS AROUND IN TH 60S AND THE BLACKS MOVED THEM OUT. THAT WAS A REAL OLD SET. OTHER SOUTHSIDE SETS WERE MARQUETTE PARK AND THROOP AND ARCHER.IT WAS GAYLORDS THAT HIT MARTIN LUTHER KING WITH A BRICK AT GAGE PARK.
